Two weekends ago, my husband and I went to Pier 54 for the Hudson River Park's MoonDance. It was a fun night of swing dancing to a live band! I was so taken by the incredible view of the sun setting over New Jersey, as couples danced and the band played. The idea for this piece popped into my head and I was really excited to finally have the time to create it this week. I painted the scene of the sunset over the Hudson with watercolor and cut-out the rest of the composition from black card stock, using an xacto knife.
