Clementine

As winter approaches, I always look forward to clementine season. There is something special about this sweet fruit with the fragrant citrus aroma that only appears on the market for a few months every year. Even the typical packaging, a little wooden crate with orange netting, sets the fruit apart. I hope that you will think of this piece when you savor your next clementine!

Central Park in Fall

This is the second piece in my "Six Views of the Empire State" series. I love all the warm colors that blanket Central Park in the fall. Best wishes to everyone for a happy Thanksgiving!

Empire State from the Hudson

I'm working on a new series called "Six Views of the Empire State", as in the Empire State building. This is the first piece which shows the view of the Empire State from the Hudson River with the Hudson River Greenway in the foreground. It's a lovely bike ride on a summer day and is beautifully landscaped as you reach lower Manhattan. Stay tuned for more pieces in the series ... !

Red Poinsettia

Poinsettias truly create a festive mood during the winter holiday season! I love the contrast of the deep red flower against the evergreen decorations and white snow of the winter holidays.

Pomegranate

At many fruit markets in New York City, vendors will cut open a pomegranate to display the shiny, jewel-like seeds inside. I never knew before what a pomegranate looked like or that such an oddly shaped, lumpy fruit could contain such beautiful surprises inside!
